Oxford New Build Part 1
Over the past few months we have been working on an extremely exciting new build property. We have been at the heart of this project since the creation of its floor plan. From the beginning of renovation we have helped our clients choose flooring, kitchen finishes, bathroom fittings and tiling from the choices given by the house builder. We also assisted our clients with the fit of the house, this involves all the furniture, from handmade, bespoke sofas styled with designer cushions and throws, to lighting pendants carefully chosen to work with the scheme designed by us. As our clients were not living in the UK at the time, we fitted the house out ready for them to move straight in, relieving the stress out of moving in to a new home making the whole process much more enjoyable for them.
Now to get in to the design…
New builds can often feel uncharacteristic, however the Oxford new build was anything but. By working closely with our clients we were able to gain an understanding of their style and develop it further when designing mood boards, which gave our clients a visualisation of how their home could look.
We created a luxurious contemporary living room scheme with navy blue paneling which off sets the voluptuous stone coloured sofa, the final colour we added to the space is rust, this has been brought in by using Harlequin's new fabric collection in bespoke-made cushions and curtains. The image below shows our mood board and the start of the living room furbished, (as this property is a new build, paneling will be added and painted navy after a year to let the home settle.)
